Tchoukball Competition

Tchoukball Geneva Indoors, the largest junior Tchoukball championship in Europe, was successfully held in Geneva in December 2022. This competition attracts nearly 100 teams to compete from all over the world (e.g., Switzerland).

In the category of Switzerland Sports Club, our M14 boys won all matches in the first round, and won 27:21 against the Geneva team in the final match and got the first Champion in the Europe Championship. During the M14 girls’ final match, we grabbed the position of 1^st Runner-up giving a tough fight to the opponents.

In the category of Europe Sports Club, our M12 team, which was formed less than 6 months ago, also won all matches in the first round. After 13 matches on the same day, our students showed tiredness, and lost (12:16) to the team from a French-administered territory. Our M14 boys won all matches in the first round and entered the direct elimination round. We charged up the field with Switzerland by equalizing the score to 12:12 and finally seizing a glorious win at 23:16. That made us stand at the 3^rd position among 24 teams. Even M18 team ranked 1^st in their first round. Eventually in the final match we stood at 2^nd position only after Switzerland.

Although our training was reduced in the past 3 years due to COVID-19, our students performed their best in this competition with the limited time of preparation. And the most important thing is that our students learnt a lot in this trip and broadened their horizons through this world-wide competition.
