About G.T. (Ellen Yeung) College

Founded in 1996, G.T. (Ellen Yeung) College is a Direct Subsidy Scheme (DSS) through-train school and a recognised pioneer in gifted education in Hong Kong. We were among the first schools in Hong Kong to adopt Howard Gardner’s theory of Multiple Intelligences (MI) as a foundation for teaching and learning — a philosophy that continues to shape every aspect of our curriculum, culture, and community.

A Track Record of Excellence

Our students consistently distinguish themselves on the world stage, earning international awards in mathematics, physics, sports, and visual arts. 48% of our graduates gain admission to QS Top 50 universities worldwide, while 60% secure places at the top five universities in Hong Kong. In the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), our school achieved an outstanding average score of 40 out of 45 — ranking 10th globally and 4th in Hong Kong. These achievements reflect not only the calibre of our students, but the dedication and expertise of the educators who guide them.

Requirements

• Enthusiasm in education and genuine dedication to the teaching profession
• A recognised degree in the relevant subject area and good language proficiency
• Applicants with a higher degree (i.e., Master’s or PhD) will have an advantage
• A strong awareness of and interest in Multiple Intelligences theory and its application in the classroom
• Embrace Love, creativity and task commitment in teaching practice, with a willingness to explore diverse instructional approaches
• Additional professional qualifications preferred, such as PGDE, IBDP certification, or LPAT
• Experienced teachers with sound subject knowledge and well-developed pedagogical skills are particularly welcome
• Applicants must have fulfilled the Basic Law and National Security Law Test (BLNST) and the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) requirements
